Marc-Édouard Vlasic is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Known for his exceptional defensive skills and hockey IQ, Vlasic has been a mainstay on the Sharks' blueline since being drafted by them in 2005. Nicknamed "Pickles" by teammates, he is highly regarded for his ability to shut down opposing forwards and his calm, steady presence on the ice. He also represented Canada at the Olympics, winning a gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
