The HBCU Swingman Classic is an annual baseball showcase game highlighting the talent and rich tradition of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Founded by Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr., the event brings together the top 50 HBCU baseball players from across the country to compete in front of MLB scouts and fans. Beyond the game itself, the Classic aims to raise awareness for HBCU baseball programs, provide opportunities for players to be drafted into professional baseball, and celebrate the legacy of African Americans in the sport. It's a platform designed to elevate HBCU baseball and inspire the next generation of players.
