Alex Delvecchio, nicknamed "Fats," was a legendary hockey player who spent his entire 24-season NHL career with the Detroit Red Wings. A skilled playmaker and respected leader, Delvecchio captained the Red Wings for 12 seasons and played in a staggering 1,549 regular-season games. He won three Stanley Cups (1950, 1952, 1955) and was a 13-time All-Star. After his playing career, Delvecchio briefly served as the Red Wings' coach and general manager. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1977, solidifying his place as one of the most beloved and enduring figures in Red Wings history.
