Andúril, meaning "Flame of the West" in Quenya, is a legendary sword in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Forged from the shards of Narsil, the sword wielded by Elendil in the Last Alliance of Elves and Men, Andúril became the symbol of hope and kingship. It was reforged for Aragorn, heir to Isildur, and imbued with the power and history of the ancient kings.
