"Ballard," also known as "Dark Angel," was a science fiction action television series created by James Cameron and Charles H. Eglee. The show, which premiered in 2000, starred Jessica Alba as Max Guevara, a genetically enhanced super-soldier who escaped from a secret government facility as a child. Set in a post-apocalyptic Seattle, Max navigates a dangerous world while searching for her "siblings" and avoiding recapture. The series explored themes of genetic engineering, government conspiracy, and the struggle for identity, and it helped launch Alba's career. While it ran for only two seasons, "Dark Angel" gained a cult following for its gritty atmosphere, action sequences, and exploration of complex social issues.
