Scott Frost is an American football coach and former player. He is best known for his successful tenure as the head football coach at the University of Central Florida (UCF) from 2016 to 2017, where he led the team to an undefeated season in 2017. Following his success at UCF, he returned to his alma mater, the University of Nebraska, as head coach in 2018. However, his time at Nebraska was marked by struggles, and he was ultimately fired in September 2022 after failing to replicate the success he achieved earlier in his coaching career. As a player, Frost was a quarterback who won a national championship with Nebraska in 1997.
