Alison Sweeney is an American actress, reality television host, director, and author. She is best known for her long-running role as Sami Brady on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives," a role she played from 1993 to 2014 and again from 2017-2021, earning her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. Beyond acting, Sweeney gained popularity as the host of the reality weight-loss competition show "The Biggest Loser" from 2007 to 2015. She has also authored several books focusing on healthy living and weight management, further cementing her image as a health and wellness advocate. More recently, she has starred in and executive produced numerous Hallmark Channel movies.
