Roberto Luongo is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender, widely regarded as one of the best to ever play the position. He spent the majority of his NHL career with the Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks, also having a brief stint with the New York Islanders. Known for his exceptional athleticism, consistency, and longevity, Luongo holds numerous goaltending records, including the second-most games played and ninth-most wins in NHL history. He represented Canada in multiple international competitions, winning two Olympic gold medals (2010 and 2014) and a World Championship gold medal (2003). Luongo was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022.
