Fred VanVleet is a professional basketball player who currently plays point guard for the Houston Rockets in the NBA. Undrafted out of Wichita State University, VanVleet signed with the Toronto Raptors in 2016 and quickly became a key contributor off the bench. Known for his toughness, playmaking, and clutch shooting, he was instrumental in the Raptors' 2019 NBA Championship run. He earned the nickname "Steady Freddy" for his consistent performance and leadership. After spending seven seasons with Toronto, he signed with the Rockets in 2023, becoming a veteran leader for the young team.
